Automatic filing extensions granted by the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act have come to an end

The automatic extensions granted by the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act have come to an end.

Companies can still apply for a 3-month extension to their accounts filing deadline. Visit our website to find out more about applying for more time to file your accounts


File your information online

We’re closely following government guidance for working safely during COVID-19 and have reduced the number of colleagues in our offices. 

Please do not send us paper documents or correspondence unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Use our online services to make sure your information is processed on time. See a full list of Companies House documents you can file online, and visit our YouTube channel to see our how to videos.

We’ve also developed a service to Upload a document to Companies House instead of sending a paper document by post.


Support for businesses

COVID-19 support is available to businesses. You may be eligible for loans, tax relief and cash grants, whether your business is open or closed.

Our contact centre is open. You can call us on 0303 1234 500, between 8.30am and 6pm on weekdays. 

All our offices remain closed to the public until further notice.
